Who it's for

When nobody's job is looking after the site

Websites don't fail all at once. They drift. Plugins go out of date, images get uploaded at full size, a form quietly stops sending, and a year later the site is slower, less secure, and further down the results than it was at launch.

You have a site you're reasonably happy with and nobody whose job it is to look after it. Right now it gets attention when something breaks.

Which means it only ever gets worse, or gets rebuilt.

It doesn't have to be a site I built. Most care plans are working with someone else's site. I'll look at it first and tell you honestly whether it's ready to maintain, needs work before it is, or isn't worth maintaining at all.

What's included

What's included in a monthly website care plan

  1. 01

Core, plugin and theme updates, tested

Tested rather than just applied. An update that breaks a template on a Friday is worse than no update at all.

  2. 02

    Backups you can restore from

Daily backups at the hosting level, checked rather than assumed. Most sites have backups. Fewer have ones anyone has tried to restore.

  3. 03

Uptime monitoring, forms and links tested

A monitoring service checks the site around the clock and alerts me if it goes down. I'm not on call overnight, but you won't be hearing about it from a customer first. Forms and broken links tested every month, because a contact form that stopped sending is the failure nobody notices.

  4. 04

Content you write, optimized for search

You know your business and you write the words. I make sure the structure, headings, internal links and metadata do them justice.

  5. 05

Search Console monitoring and SEO health

Coverage errors, indexing problems, and broken links caught and fixed, rather than a one-off audit.

  6. 06

A monthly report in plain language

What changed, what it did, and what I recommend next. Not a dashboard export.

Two ways to run it

Two care plans: Maintenance and Growth

  • Maintenance

Keeps the site healthy, secure, and steadily improving. Updates, backups, uptime monitoring, monthly form and link checks, search health, and the written report. The right plan when the site is doing its job and you want it to keep getting better in the background.

  • Growth

Everything in Maintenance, plus dedicated hours each month for the bigger changes. New sections, landing pages, and the structural work that needs real time rather than a steady hand. The right plan when the site is a channel rather than a brochure.

If the site is in good shape and you need less, we move you to the other tier rather than quietly billing you for hours you aren't using.

Pricing

A flat monthly fee with a three-month minimum

Three months, so there's time to actually improve something rather than just keep the lights on. After that it runs month to month.

Which tier you start on depends on the state of the site and how much you want to move it. That's a conversation, not a calculator.

Common questions

Questions about website care plans

Do you work on sites you didn't build?

Yes, most care clients come to me that way. The first month is usually heavier than the rest, because I'm finding out what state things are in.

What's not included in a care plan?

Anything that counts as a new project. A new page template, a rebuild of a section, a migration. I'll tell you when something has crossed that line rather than quietly absorbing it and resenting it.

How do I ask for changes?

Email. No ticketing system, no portal to log into. You send me what you need and I tell you when it'll be done.

What if I want to stop?

After the first three months, cancel whenever. I'll hand over everything and there's nothing to untangle, because the site was always in your account.

Next step

Thirty minutes on your site, and you keep what I find

I'll go through your site before we talk and send you the three things I'd fix first, whether or not a care plan turns out to be the right thing.

30 minutes, and there's nothing to sign.
